Lightning and surge arresters for primary and secondary protection of telephone signals, specially designed for digital and analogue telephone networks and ISDN lines. They offer protection against lightning currents (10/350μs) due to a lightning strike in the overhead telephone network or from a direct lightning strike in the structure where they are installed.

At the same time, they offer protection against shock overvoltages (8/20μs) due to the electromagnetic field created during a lightning strike in a neighboring area. Arrestors are recommended to be connected to the ends of a telephone line and as close as possible to the protected device. ELEMCO arresters 68 03 410 offer protection between the telephone pair and earth as well as between the poles of the pair.
