Four-pole surge arrester T1 (Class I), in 3+1 connection (3Φ + N) suitable for TT, TN S & TN CS systems. It has 3 protection elements of an innovative design combining a heavy-duty semiconductor in series with a spark gap arrangement (between L – N) providing high performance against long-duration overvoltages (TOV) while also limiting phase-to-neutral leakage.

It also features a heavy-duty noble gas spark element between neutral and earth conductor (PE) to allow no leakage current to earth allowing it to be installed before DDR even for TT systems,while at the same time it offers maximum protection even against long duration overvoltages (TOV) originating from faults in the MV. It has the ability to discharge a lightning current of 25kA/pole (10/350μs), 100kA/ 4pole (10/350μs) offering protection to installations that have an external lightning protection system of level I, II, III and IV.

At the same time, it protects against inductive shock currents up to 65kA/pole (8/20μs). The surge arrester has a residual voltage per pole of less than 1.5kV under a current of 25kA achieving comprehensive protection to devices of all insulation classes IV, III, II & I
